Mike Southon
Author of The Beermat Entrepreneur

Mike Southon is one of the UK's leading authorities on entrepreneurship and sales with a weekly column every Saturday in the Financial Times.

In the 1980s, he co-founded, built and sold The Instruction Set, a software consultancy. In the 1990s he worked with 17 start-ups; two later went public (and three went broke!). And in the 2000s he co-authored with Chris West four bestselling books: The Beermat Entrepreneur, The Boardroom Entrepreneur, Sales on a Beermat, and Finance on a Beermat.

Mike is a Visiting Fellow in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at London South Bank University, and is a visiting lecturer at London Business School, Cass Business School and many others.

He is also an experienced broadcaster and has released over 80 podcast-friendly radio interviews with famous industrialists, entrepreneurs and business experts.

These include Allan Leighton (Chairman, Royal Mail), Sir Robin Saxby (former Chairman, ARM), Sir Philip Trousdell (former commander, NATO forces in Bosnia), Sahar Hashemi (Co-founder, Coffee Republic), Sir Keith Mills (Chairman, London 2012 Olympic bid) and Trevor Baylis (inventor of the clockwork radio).

Jamie Rumbelow
FREELANCE

Jamie Rumbelow loves the web. It's a simple as that. He's at the rip old age of 15, but don't let that put you off - he's already spoken at a variety of conferences on loads of development related subjects, writes on his popular blog, Jamie on Software (http://jamieonsoftware.com) - and he loves every minute of it!

He's passionate about what he does, so passionate, in fact, that he's the CodeIgniter Community Chieftain; the guy responsible for growing and nurturing the community of his favourite PHP framework.

When he's not writing, speaking, coding or a combination of the previous three, he's writing songs, playing guitar and fronting the up-and-coming alternative acoustic rock band Atlas.

Tom Scott
"Geek Comedian"

He won the 2008 Kevin Greening Award for Creativity at the Student Radio Awards, once got in trouble with the Cabinet Office for his version of their Preparing for Emergencies site, and has been described as a "sometime internet funny man" by The Register. He runs the British part of International Talk Like A Pirate Day, and accidentally got elected as president of his students' union after running as "Mad Cap'n Tom".

His work has been shown on BBC One, Channel 4, and at the paraflows net-art exhibition in Vienna.

He also once got five gold runs on 'Blockbusters'.

Richard St. John
Success Expert, Author, Speaker

Richard St. John founded a successful marketing communications company, The St. John Group, and spent his first career helping hi-tech companies de-mystify and communicate their technology. He has won top awards, including best corporate video in the world and an IABC Gold Quill, the highest award in business communications.

St. John fell into his second career as a success analyst by accident, when a girl on a plane asked him “What really leads to success?” and even though he had achieved success in business, and became a millionaire, he couldn't explain how he did it.
